Our face-to-face workshops at the Rydges Sydney Central (Surry Hills, NSW) focus on refining your DBT-informed approach. Learn how to develop diary cards, gain commitment in DBT and conduct chain analysis!

2026/27 Sydney DBT Practitioner Training Dates!

This program uses a range of resources and strategies to support mental health professionals in implementing a DBT or DBT-informed approach in their workplace! We provide access to webinars, clinical resources, examples of how to teach skills, LIVE Zoom sessions, peer-run sessions, supervision, and DBT program outlines to support individuals and teams in implementing a DBT-informed approach in their workplace!

Our face-to-face workshops in Sydney will be held on Friday 16th October 2026; Friday 19th March 2027; Friday 25th June 2027.

DBT Practitioner Program & Model Orientation

An initial release of DBT Foundational material
  • At time of registration: DBT Foundations Pt 1
  • 1 week after registration: DBT Foundations Pt 2
  • 2 weeks after registration: DBT Foundations Pt 3
  • 3 weeks after registration: DBT Foundations Pt 4


Followed by a LIVE three-hour webinar online, which will introduce participants to the 12-month DBT Practitioner Training Program through the DBT Institute. This program has been developed for mental health professionals looking to implement a range of DBT strategies in their current practice as well as practitioners looking to start a full Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) program.

Online Program Orientation via Zoom is on Wednesday, 1st July 2026 starts at 5pm Sydney time.

Pre-implementation Content

Participants will be released fortnightly content from the 6th July 2026 until the 23rd November which will orientate participants to the role of DBT practitioners in individual therapy and skills classes.

Three LIVE Zoom Sessions will seek to support participants consolidation of the content released in the pre-implementation phase of this program.

Face-to-face workshop exploring commitment strategies in DBT at Rydges Central Sydney on Friday 16th October 2026 (9am - 4pm)

30 minute individual supervision sessions will be accessible for each participant in November 2026!

Implementation Content

Program participants will be given access to weekly DBT Skills from the 25th January 2027 to support their implementation of a DBT or DBT Informed approach 

7 x LIVE Zoom Implementation sessions will offer participants support implementing a DBT or DBT informed approach from February 2027.

30 minute individual supervision sessions will be accessible for each participant in March and July 2027!

Face-to-face workshop exploring advances in DBT at Rydges Central Sydney on Friday 25th June (9am - 4pm)

Review & Credentialing in DBT

From July 2027 participants will be eligible for credentialing in DBT through the Asia Pacific DBT Institute. Once you have completed our program you will have met the education components of credentialing. Further details about credentialing are provided throughout the DBT Practitioner Training Program.
